Tu seras mon unique projet
Je m’en irai poser tes portraits
A tous les murs que je trouverai
Et juste en dessous, j’écrirai
Que seule la lumière pourrait…
Et mes doigts pris sur tes poignets
Je t’aimais, je t’aime et je t’aimerai.
My child, naked on the pebbles,
The wind tousles your hair
Like innocence on my voyage.
A diamond falls to a jewelry box.
Alone, the light would be able to
Find our secrets.
And my fingers take your wrist.
I loved you, I love you, I will love you.
And whatever you do
Love is everywhere you look.
In the smallest corners of space
In the smallest dreams where you linger,
Love is as the rain falling
Naked on the pebbles.
The sky claims to know you.
It is as beautiful as it is surely true.
It never comes near;
I saw him taken in your net.
The world has so many regrets;
So many things that one promises.
One alone for which I was made
I loved you, I love you, I will love you.
And whatever you do
Love is everywhere you look.
In the smallest corners of space,
In the smallest dreams where you linger,
Love is as the rain falling
Naked on the pebbles.
We will take our flights from the same platform
Our eyes reflecting
This life and the one after.
You will be my unique project.
I will place your pictures
On all the ceilings of all the palaces,
On all the walls that I will find.
And truly, below, I will write
That alone the Light would be able to …
And my fingers taking your wrists
I loved you, I love you, I will love you.
This is the story of a dad speaking about his child. He calls her a diamond, his diamond.
She is his light, and he loves her with a constant and eternal love.
And in her innocence, she might not notice. But as she gets older she will.
She will.
He was sent here for her and he knows that. He loves her so much that he puts pictures of her on the walls and in his memory.
And underneath them he writes
“You are my light. Let me take your hand and show you.
For I loved you when you were born. I love you now. And I will love you forever."
This song can be taken multiple ways.
He could be your dad.
He could be your Heavenly Father.
He could be your Saviour.
He could be all three.
Realize though that you are the diamond, the joy, the Light to him; to your parents; to your God.
As I grow older, I see the little and many things my parents do for me.
